San Antonio, Texas (PRWEB) October 22, 2013 – Fulcrum Biometrics, a leading international manufacturer, distributor and integrator of biometric systems and devices, has announced that its partner, Redsis Corporation, has completed contracts in South America to deploy proprietary biometric software solutions for the banking industry. Redsis, a U.S.-based company with expertise in providing technology solutions for customers in South America, teamed up with Fulcrum Biometrics to supply state-of-the-art biometric software and fingerprint devices from Futronic Technology Co. Ltd. This proprietary system extracts and stores biometric data and is then used for authentication purposes to combat fraudulent activity in the banking industry. Fulcrum Biometrics is Futronic’s North and Central American Distributor and has global reach in its sales and marketing activities for Futronic’s products.
To date, Redsis has deployed more than 1000 fingerprint scanners and desktop software packages to combat banking industry fraud. The solution deployed in South America utilizes Futronic FS88 fingerprint scanners because of their ruggedness, cost competitiveness and technical functionality that enable deployment of high-quality hardware and software solutions at the most competitive pricing. In addition, the FS88 fingerprint scanners are certified to meet or exceed the FBI Integrated Automated Fingerprint Information System (IAFIS) standard for high quality and interoperability.
Redsis selected Fulcrum Biometrics as a partner because of Fulcrum’s strong track record of supplying biometric software and hardware solutions in more than 90 countries. With their particular expertise in the banking and credit union industry, Fulcrum helped Redsis meet the customers’ regulatory requirements and budgeted cost structures. Fulcrum recommended the Futronic scanners for their ability to provide the highest technical functionality in biometric hardware for the customer’s investment.
“Redsis is a great example of how our consultancy philosophy in sales led to a winning solution for all,” said Ken Nosker, president of Fulcrum Biometrics. “With the exceptional value that the Futronic products bring to each project and the expertise that Redsis brings to the local markets, we are able to service our customers as a team in such a way that helps all of us win business.”
