FBF LIVESCAN SOFTWARE INCORPORATING THE SUPREMA REALSCAN-F RECEIVES FBI CERTIFICATION OF COMPLIANCE

December 15, 2015 – Fulcrum Biometric’s FbF Live Scan software incorporating the Suprema RealScan-F tenprint/palm and Identification Flats device received Appendix F FBI Certification of Compliance.

Certification for biometric devices serves as assurance for users that a certain biometric device meet or exceed minimum FBI interoperability standards. FBI Certified biometric devices also work with the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Information System (AFIS). These standards ensure the images produced by the devices are top quality and support all phases of identification.

The Appendix F standard includes strict image quality conditions, focusing on the human fingerprint comparison and facilitating large scale machine many-to-many matching operation.
